36 of Escape's DJs are on another Halloween bill the same weekend
Halloween is the busiest weekend on our calendar. Escape's bill is the one most tangled up in it: 36 acts also listed elsewhere on 30 and 31 October.
Halloween is the busiest weekend we track. Sixteen festivals in our catalog run on 30 October, and sixteen on the 31st. No other day on the calendar comes close. The next busiest is 3 October, with thirteen.
Escape Psycho Circus sits right in the middle of it. Two nights at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, 30 and 31 October, 41 days out. And more of its lineup is booked somewhere else that same weekend than any other bill we hold.
36 acts on the Escape bill are also listed at another festival running on the same days.
Where that ranks
We hold 78 upcoming festivals with 20 or more names on the bill. For each one we counted the acts who also appear on a festival whose dates genuinely overlap, day by day, not rounded to a weekend. Escape is first. The next bill down is BOO Seattle at 23.
Acts also booked at another festival on the same days
Most bills don't do this at all. 27 of the 78 share nobody with a festival on their own dates.
Eight other festivals, eight other cities
The Lost Lands story in August was one pair of festivals sharing a big block of names. Escape is a different shape. Its 36 are spread across eight festivals, and the biggest single share is ten.
| Festival | City | Miles away | Shared with Escape |
|---|---|---|---|
| BOO Seattle | Seattle | 960 | 10 |
| Factory 93 Halloween | Alameda | 369 | 8 |
| Hocus Pocus | Miami | 2,288 | 6 |
| BOO Arizona | Scottsdale | 319 | 5 |
| Freaky Deaky | Austin | 1,185 | 4 |
| SCREAM Edmonton | Edmonton | — | 3 |
| HEX | Chandler | 325 | 2 |
| Freaky Deaky NOLA | New Orleans | 1,623 | 2 |
Miles are straight-line, from the coordinates we store for each venue. We don't hold coordinates for the Edmonton venue, so that one is blank. The shared column adds to 40, not 36, because four names are on two of the others.
Those four are Franky Rizardo, Indira Paganotto, Jamie Jones and Yanamaste. Each is listed at Escape, at Factory 93 Halloween in Alameda and at Hocus Pocus in Miami, which runs a third day into 1 November.
The two Most Booked names on the bill are in it too. Escape carries two of the ten acts on our Most Booked board, and both have a second Halloween date in Arizona. Excision is also on HEX in Chandler. Zedd is also on BOO Arizona in Scottsdale.
BOO Seattle takes the most, with ten, including Cloonee, Getter and Hershe. The rest go to Freaky Deaky in Austin, SCREAM Edmonton and Freaky Deaky NOLA.
Partly one promoter's weekend
Escape is an Insomniac festival, and so are BOO Seattle, Factory 93 Halloween and Hocus Pocus in our catalog. Twenty of the 36 shared names go to those three. So a good share of this is one promoter routing its own acts around its own Halloween events.
That still leaves 16 who go to bills run by someone else. It is a busy weekend for everyone.
None of this is a clash. These are two-night festivals, and a DJ can play San Bernardino on Friday and Seattle on Saturday. Set times aren't out yet, so we can't say who plays which night where.
The other half of the bill
The rest of the bill runs the other way, but there is less of it. At least 26 acts on the Escape bill play no other festival we hold, including Nina Kraviz, Galantis, VNSSA and AC Slater. Each shows exactly one upcoming show in the app, and it's this one. That is under a third of the bill, and in the bottom third of our 78 on lineup you can only see in one place. Not much of Escape is unique. The part that is, is worth planning around.
If you're going, that is the practical version. Follow the one-offs, because Glen Helen is the only place they are this season. If you're not going but want one of the 36, open their page in the app. It shows where else they are that weekend, and one of those may be nearer to you.

Every count here comes from the lineups in our catalog of 155 upcoming festivals on 19 September 2026, matched on artist name without regard to capitalisation. Overlap means the date ranges truly intersect. Every artist named was checked against their own page in the app, and each page shows the number of dates we counted. We count festivals, not club nights. A few entries on the Escape listing look like spellings of one act, which is why we lead with the count of 36 rather than a percentage of the bill.
