Hocus Pocus shares 20 acts with III Points, two miles and two weeks away
Two Miami festivals, 1.9 miles and two weeks apart, share 20 acts. Eleven of them play no other festival we track.
Hocus Pocus runs at Factory Town in Miami from 30 October to 1 November. It has 101 named acts. Twenty of them also play III Points, at Mana Wynwood, two weeks earlier and 1.9 miles away.
No other pair of festivals in the same city comes close.
How far ahead that is
We took every festival in our catalog with 20 or more named acts and paired each one with every other festival within 60 miles of it. That's 36 pairs. Most of them share nobody.
Acts shared by festivals in the same city
Twenty-four of the 36 pairs share no acts at all. Eight share one. The second-highest pair shares five, and it's also III Points, with Groove Cruise Miami in January.
We've written about the opposite case twice. Two Bridgeview festivals a mile apart shared one name. North Coast and ARC, in Chicago on the same weekend, shared one. Festivals in the same city usually book around each other. These two don't.
Who's on both
Sixty-two of the acts on Hocus Pocus play at least one other festival we track. Twenty of those play III Points. That's one in three, and III Points is the festival Hocus Pocus shares the most with by a long way. Amsterdam Dance Event is next with 12, then EDC Orlando with 11.
Some of the twenty are touring names. Franky Rizardo plays ten festivals we track. Mary Droppinz plays eight, Odd Mob seven, ChaseWest six. Seth Troxler and Cole Knight play five each, and Danny Daze, Inbal and Raje three.
The other eleven are the interesting part. They play no festival we track except these two:
- Berrakka, Cami Di Marzo, Eli Escobar, Lucaz
- Marte, Nicole Gallamini, Siegel, Slugg
- Souls Departed, Terence Tabeau, Will Renuart
Each of their artist pages lists two upcoming shows, III Points and Hocus Pocus. Whatever else they play this autumn, the only festivals we have them on are both in Miami.
From the other side
III Points is twice the size, with 212 named acts, so the same 20 are under a tenth of its bill. And for III Points, Hocus Pocus isn't unusual. EDC Orlando, 203 miles up the road three weeks later, also shares 20 acts with it.
So the claim is narrow and it holds: no two festivals in the same city share anywhere near as many acts as these two. It's not that Hocus Pocus is a copy of III Points. Eighty-one of its 101 acts aren't on the III Points bill.
One caveat. Our catalog lists III Points for 16 and 17 October, but those dates aren't marked confirmed yet. If they move, the gap moves with them. The overlap doesn't.
The rest of the bill, straight
None of the ten acts on our Most Booked board is on Hocus Pocus, or on III Points. Thirty-nine of the 101 play no other festival we track. That's 39%, 45th of our 69 festivals with 20 or more named acts, a little below the middle.
Hocus Pocus lands on Halloween weekend, the busiest dates of October. Seventeen other festivals overlap its three days, and they share 11 acts with it between them. Escape Psycho Circus in San Bernardino shares the most, six.
If you're doing both weekends, you'll see a fifth of the Hocus Pocus bill twice. If you can only do one, those twenty are the part you don't have to choose between, and eleven of them you won't find on another festival bill this season. Open both lineups in the app and follow the ones you'd want to catch.

Counts are from the Electric State festival catalog on 5 October 2026: 142 upcoming festivals, 69 of them with 20 or more named acts. Placeholders like "Lineup TBA" removed, names matched regardless of capitalisation. Distance is straight-line between each festival's listed coordinates; the sixteen rows with no coordinates were matched by city name instead. "Another festival" counts every upcoming festival we hold, whatever its size. Clubs aren't counted. The Most Booked board is the app's all-time top ten.
Electric State is free on the App Store, on Google Play, and at electricstate.app — lineups, the Most Booked board and the artist pages this post is computed from.
