Get Freaky's DJs play 58 other festivals, and none of them is in Utah

The average act at The Great Saltair plays five festivals we hold, third-highest of 77. Not one of their other dates is in Utah.

Some festivals book people you can only hear in one field. Get Freaky books people who are on the road all season.

Get Freaky runs three nights at The Great Saltair, on the shore of the Great Salt Lake, 23 to 25 October. That is 36 days out. There are 30 names on the bill.

Count every festival each of those 30 plays in our catalog, Get Freaky included, and you get 150. The average act on this bill plays five of the festivals we hold. Across the 77 festivals we rank below, half come in at about 2.7 or lower.

Where that ranks

We hold 77 upcoming festivals with 20 or more names on the bill. Get Freaky is third on this count.

The two ahead of it are smaller bills. Decadence Colorado averages 5.3 on 23 names. Give Thanks Festival averages 5.04 on 28. Get Freaky sits at exactly 5.0.

For every festival in our catalog with 20 or more names, the number of festivals each act plays that we hold, averaged across the bill. Half of all 77 come in at about 2.7 or lower. Catalog counts on 17 September 2026.

Twenty-five of the 30 play at least one other festival. Seventeen play four or more others. Subtronics is on 14 bills we hold, this one included. LEVEL UP and Richard Finger are on 11 each, TroyBoi on 10. The headliner, FISHER, is on five.

That is not a knock. It is a different kind of bill: names that are working the circuit this autumn, brought to one venue on a lake.

None of it plays anywhere else in Utah

Here is the part that matters if you live there. Between them, the 25 who travel play 58 other festivals. Not one of those is in Utah.

The closest they come is Las Vegas and Denver. Daniel Allan and it's murph both have Decadence Colorado on New Year's Eve. Daniel Allan, Subtronics and Richard Finger each have a Las Vegas date. Everyone else goes further.

The one other Salt Lake City festival we hold makes the point sharper. Breakaway Utah is at America First Field, about 19 miles from the Saltair as the crow flies, three weeks earlier on 2 and 3 October. It books the circuit hard too, twelfth of 77 on the same count. Its 27 names and Get Freaky's 30 share nobody.

So two touring bills in the same city in the same month, and not one DJ on both.

Where the rest of the bill goes

If you want to catch these acts again, BOO Seattle holds seven of them a week later, 30 and 31 October. No festival we hold shares more.

What the number doesn't say

We count festivals, not club nights. Some of these DJs may well play Salt Lake rooms during the year, and none of that shows up here.

The flip side of a travelled bill is that very little of it is unique. Five of the 30 play no other festival we hold: Badger, Gothparade, Justin Hawkes, Myla and Spencer Brown. That puts Get Freaky 68th of 77 for lineup you can only see in one place. One name, Subtronics, is on our ten-name Most Booked board. At 30 names, the bill is joint 54th of 77 by size.

If you're going, the practical version is this. You are getting a slice of the autumn touring circuit without leaving the state, and none of it is booked at another Utah festival we hold this season. Follow the five one-offs in the app, because those are the sets you won't find anywhere else.

Get Freaky sells from its own site, so we have no ticket link for it. Decadence Colorado isn't in our feed either.

Every count here comes from the lineups in our catalog of 153 upcoming festivals on 17 September 2026, matched on artist name without regard to capitalisation. All 30 names were also checked against their own artist pages, and 29 show exactly the number of dates we counted. Subtronics shows one more upcoming show than festivals, which is what you'd expect when a page counts every show and we count only festivals.
